ESB wins €1m contract in Vietnam

ESB International has won a €1 million contract in Vietnam to advise on the construction of a major new power station.

ESB International has won a €1 million contract in Vietnam to advise on the construction of a major new power station.

The project is for the provision of consultancy services including technical project design for the Hai Phong coal fired power plant which is being developed east of Hanoi.

The new power station will have two 300 megawatt (MW) capacity coal fired units. In addition to the project design, ESB will be involved in the preparation of the construction contract specifications, tender evaluation and contract negotiation. 14 ESB engineers will be involved in Vietnam at the peak of the project.

ESB International also has a number of other significant contracts in Vietnam, bringing the total value of its current business there to €5.5 million.
