Sven Goran Eriksson, tipped as a possible successor to Alex Ferguson when he retires as Manchester United manager at the end of the season, said today that he would remain as England coach.
"I will not walk out on England," said Eriksson in the News of the World.
"I have never even thought about going to Manchester United. I will be with England for ages.
"I am with England to the World Cup (in 2002) and beyond. I see myself in this job for a long, long time," said the Swede.

English champions United are currently down in ninth place in the table having already lost six premier league games this season, the most recent being yesterday's 1-0 defeat at home to West Ham United.
