England beat Sri Lanka by four wickets on the third day of the third and final cricket Test to win the three match series 2-1.
England requiring 74 to win, knocked the runs off through their seventh wicket pair of Graham Thorpe and Ashley Giles who were unbeaten on 32 and one respectively.
England scored the winning runs in the final over of the day, when Giles hit Sanath Jayasuriya to cover and ran a single.
Sri Lanka won the first Test played at Galle by an innings and 28 runs and England won the second Test at Kandy by three wickets.
