Eircell Vodafone has signed an agreement with Irish software company Altamedius for the provision of micro payment services to Eircell Vodafone's 1.6 million Irish customers.
The micro payment services will facilitate the purchase of small value goods and services by customers through the Internet, via WEB, WAP, IVR and vending machines.
All transactions will be carried out in a secure and controlled environment and will allow users to purchase items such as cinema and concert tickets, CDs, books and games without the need for a credit or debit card.
The service will also have a customer care support feature and will incorporate online self-care and account management.
