Lots of St Patrick's Day events have been cancelled on this side of the Atlantic, but pupils from one Dublin school were able to celebrate in style Stateside. Last week, 33 members of Wesley College choir flew to Boston to sing at a number of events. The Boston programme included performances at the State House, at a breakfast hosted by the American-Irish Partnership, at Boston College and at a "Famine Vigil" at the Boston Irish Famine Memorial.

The aim of the trip is to promote the South Dublin Music and Arts Centre to be built in the grounds of Wesley College at a cost of £2.5 million.
