The newly-formed Association for Drama in Education in Ireland (ADEI) has organised a one-day conference this Saturday to look at Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences.

Carmel O'Sullivan, chairperson of ADEI, says Gardner's theory is currently "hot", and that teachers and educators in Ireland are beginning to use it to explore teaching and learning in different ways. The conference will be led by Professor David Best of the University of Wales and will offer a critique of Garnder's theory, as well as proposing an alternative.

Parents and others interested in education are welcome to attend. Information from carosull@tcd.ie.
