Gaelscoil Ui Cheadaigh has finally found a permanent home in Bray, Co Wicklow. The second Irish-language primary school in Bray has acquired the former St Cronan's School - the boys of St Cronan's having moved out some time ago. The building was due to be auctioned last month, but at the 11th hour an agreement was reached between the owners of the school and surrounding land, the Church of the Holy Redeemer, and the Department of Education and Science.
The parents, teachers and pupils of Gaelscoil are looking forward to moving in as soon as the building has been refurbished.
