CULTURAL HERITAGE was top of the agenda when 14 Irish post-primary teachers joined 50 colleagues from Finland, Spain, Italy and Scotland in Killiney, Co Dublin, for a Largas seminar aimed at partner-finding for the Comenius programme which provides funding towards environmental or cultural projects.

Schools must have partners in two other member states and closing date is March 1st.

"The success of the seminar can be gauged by the fact that everybody present established transnational links," says Bridin Gilroy, head of the education service at Leargas. Details are available from Leargas at (01-) 873 1411.
