What was your best subject?

Business studies. I always really enjoyed it and found it very easy to understand.

What was your worst subject?

Irish.

If you could put a new subject on the Leaving Cert, what would it be?

Life skills, definitely. So much emphasis is put on books and not enough on the skills that people need when they go out into society.

What was your earliest career ambition?

I always wanted to be a sea captain. I had applied to CIT to study nautical science. However, after a bad accident during my Leaving Cert I could not register in this course.

Who was your favourite teacher and why?

This is a two-way split between Jackie O'Reilly Dillon (the new principal at Magh Ene College, I might add) and David McGuiness. These were my two favourite teachers: however, to be honest, we had so many good teachers in the school it hard to choose.

Who was your childhood idol?

It was Mr T from The A-Team, in that black and red van. I was still wonder how nobody ever died in that show.

Who was your best friend?

Dessie Daly and Cormac McGurren would have been my best friends from school, and still are to this day.

What are they doing now?

Dessie is a quantity surveyor and Cormac is a foreman for a construction company.

What TV programme/film most reminds you of your school days?

This is a funny one, but it's The Late Late Toy Show. Ever since I was very small it always reminds of going to school, even to this day.

What food most reminds you of your school days?

Lasagne, I had a massive craving for this for about four years at school.

What was your school uniform like?

Grey jumper, grey pants, light blue shirt and a dark blue tie. It has changed now, but a little late for me, I never liked the colour.

What's the boldest thing you ever did in school?

I remember taking one teacher's mobile phone and making loads of phone calls on it. Now put it in context, I am 25 now and 10 years ago mobile phones were not freely available.

Who did you bring to your debs?

Priscilla Flynn from Bundoran.

What was your most memorable holiday?

First time going to New York City, I have always loved NYC and I'm really looking forward to getting back there again.
