Hodges Figgis competition

Since entries continue to arrive for the Hodges Figgis/£600 book competition, the closing date has been extended to December 4th. Three book tokens, worth £300, £200 and £100, are up for grabs for students who write in and tell us, in no more than 400 words, of a literary character who has struck a particular chord with them. The competition is open to all third-level and PLC students, as well as those studying part-time or full-time beyond Leaving Certificate level. Entries should be sent to Hodges Figgis Competition, E&L, The Irish Times, D'Olier Street, Dublin 2.
