You've just over a week to organise yourself to get to the world premiere, in Limerick, of the Young Irish Film Makers' latest feature, D'Boyz on Wednesday, March 28th. It's being shown, as part of this year's Fresh Film Festival, in the Belltable Arts Centre at 2 p.m. D'Boyz is the second Young Irish Film Makers' feature (Under the Hawthorn Tree in l998 was their first) and was shot over three weeks in Kilkenny by a film crew - all of them under 18 - using digital cameras and editing equipment. A 60-minute comedy written by and starring 15-year old Conal McLoughlin, as Ratbanks, its other stars are local young people and adults. Young Irish Film Makers provide a range of high quality creative and technical courses for more than 100 young people, schools and community groups.
