The Book of Kells on CD-ROM, with images of all 680 pages of the manuscript, has been given as a gift to all of the State's primary and secondary schools. Presented jointly by Trinity College Dublin and the Internet company X Communications, it also contains a history and details of the manuscript narrated by journalist Olivia O'Leary and actor Stephen Rea. TCD librarian Bill Simpson says it will "provide a wonderful learning aid for schools". For those wanting their own copy, it is on sale on-line at www.bookofkells.com, in the library shop at TCD and from selected booksellers.
