Cool, definitely.

Give us an extract of a school report.

"Tommy talks a lot but should listen more and is very easily distracted."

Pretty much summed up my school report every year.

Who was your favourite teacher in primary school? Why?

Mrs Murray, because we were in junior infants (P1) and were allowed to play in the sand pit.

Did you have a nickname?

I would love to say Strongbowe or Dickiebowe, but it tended to be either

Tam or Bowe.

What was the first music album you bought?

The first tape I ever bought was Michael Jackson's Bad and first CD was R Kelly's 12Play. Two great albums that I still listen to, although both are on my iPod now.

What else is on your iPod?

The latest album I added to it was Kanye West's; I could probably do with updating again.

Who would play you in a movie of your life?

Will Ferrell, because even though it might not be a great story, he will make it funny.

What posters did you have on your bedroom wall?

Back in primary school, I was big into motorbikes, so Harley Davidsons and Honda CBRs, but in secondary school, I moved onto girls.

Who was your first crush?

Miss Stewart in first year.

What did you study in college?

Construction engineering and management. Thankfully all finished, but I may look to use it sometime in the near future.

Regrets? Have you had a few?

No . . . I maybe didn't do as well in my A-levels as I would have wished, but because of that, it allowed me to stay in Ulster to study and play rugby.

Without that, I wouldn't be where I am today.

Tommy Bowe (24) is an Irish rugby international from Co Monaghan. He plays on the wing for Ulster and Ireland, having made his international debut against the USA in 2004, the first Co Monaghan player to win an Ireland cap since the 1920s. At the beginning of the year, he announced that he would leave Ulster at the end of the 2008 Celtic League, season to join Welsh team the Ospreys.
