Racing:Dylan Thomas is set to be Aidan O'Brien's principal hope in the Juddmonte International as George Washington will not run at York.

The Ballydoyle handler told the Racing Post: "The horses still have bits of work to do and we'll be keeping an eye on the ground situation.

"But it's looking as if Dylan Thomas and Duke Of Marmalade will be going for the International.

"We might also run something else in the race but we're thinking of waiting with George Washington and aiming him at the Irish Champion Stakes instead on September 8th."

Dylan Thomas, a fluent winner of the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot, is William Hill's new 2-1 favourite for the International.

Vodafone Derby favourite Authorized has been eased out to 9-4 in the betting.
