An international literary festival celebrating the life and works of poet, short-story writer and playwright Dylan Thomas has been confirmed for Co Clare.
The inaugural event will be held next month at the Falls Hotel in Ennistymon, once the home of Thomas’s wife Caitlin. She was the daughter of Francis MacNamara, a poet, who transformed Ennistymon House into the Falls Hotel.
The three-day festival, from May 18th to 20th, will feature lectures, recitals, a documentary screening and a history tour outlining Ennistymon’s connections to Thomas and other poets, including Brian Merriman.
