Dublin City Council have warned thousands of Dublin householders that their bins will not be collected unless they pay their refuse charges within 14 days.
The Council said around 37,000 have yet to pay the €150 a year charge.
However campaigners against the refuse charges have described the move as a threat and advised people not to pay.
