The long dispute between the Amalgamated Engineering and Electrical Union (AEEU) and the Technical Engineering and Electrical Union (TEEU) over members has been resolved, writes Padraig Yeates, Industry and Employment Correspondent. The Irish Congress of Trade Unions executive is expected to issue a finding today.
It is likely to recommend that the TEEU desist from making special arrangements to recruit AEEU members, while allowing the 580 AEEU members who have so far applied to join the TEEU to do so if they wish.
