Washington - Mr John Di Iulio, who led the White House effort to get federal funding for faith-based social programmes, said yesterday he was stepping down from his post and leaving the government. Mr Di Iulio, a political science professor whose family still lives in Philadelphia, took a six-month position as director of the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives.
