A device exploded at the bar in Hillhead, Castledawson, Co Derry, shortly before midnight. There were no injuries and bomb disposal experts were examining the scene.

A 28-year-old man yesterday was shot in the leg in Blythe Street, Belfast, in what is believed to be another loyalist "punishment" attack. He was taken to hospital but an RUC spokeswoman said that his condition was not life threatening.
