Increases in electricity prices are expected to be announced this afternoon.
It is understood that prices will increase by 15 per cent, which will push the average two-monthly domestic bill up by €13.46.
The increases are expected to apply to domestic and residential customers and apply from October or November.
This follows last year's increase of 9 per cent.
