LIMA - A Peruvian woman stowed her dead mother as luggage in the hold of a passenger bus hoping to transport the deceased for burial in her birth place, state news agency Andina said on Thursday.
Before boarding a bus for the 310 km journey from the capital Lima to the jungle town of Jauja, Ms Matilde Cano (50), wrapped her mother in blankets and placed the body in the luggage compartment.
