The High Court will fix a date on July 26th for the hearing of an application by Anglo Irish Bank Corporation for an order to recover £568,719 from Cork businessman, Mr Denis "Starry" O'Brien, and three others. The bank claims Mr O'Brien, of Ballyharroon House, Glanmire, and others owe the sum, which includes interest, on a bank loan made to Edenfell Holdings Ltd in 1992.

The deeds of guarantee and indemnity were executed by Mr O'Brien, his wife Margaret (otherwise Maeve) O'Brien, Mr Liam Madden and Mr Dennis Barrett, according to the bank.
