Services on the Dart line between Grand Canal Dock and Pearse Street in Dublin were suspended for a time this morning after a car hit a bridge in the city centre.

Iarnród Éireann said trains were halted due to the incident at Sandwith Street, near Pearse Street. Services are now beginning to return to normal.

During the disruption, train operated to and from Pearse Station and southside services operated to and from Lansdowne Road.

Dublin Bus honoured rail tickets.

Irish Rail apologised for any inconvenience caused.
