Cyclist killed in Limerick collision

A 39-year-old postman has died when he was struck by a car while cycling in Limerick this morning.

A 39-year-old postman has died when he was struck by a car while cycling in Limerick this morning.

The collision happened at 11.25am on the Ennis Road.

The man was taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital where he died from his injuries this afternoon.

The driver of the car was uninjured.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact them at Mayorstone Garda station on 061456980, the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666111 or any Garda station.
