Two men hospitalised after car crashes into bus stop

Two men have been taken to hospital after being hit by a car while waiting at a bus stop in Dublin.

The incident took place on Cherry Orchard Avenue in Ballyfermot on Friday about 6pm.

The driver and the passenger fled the scene on foot after the car crashed into the bus stop.

Two of the injured men, aged in their late 20s and early 30s, were taken to St James’ Hospital . Their condition is not life- threatening.

A third man, who was also waiting at the bus stop when the crash happened, did not need hospital treatment.

No arrests have been made in relation to the incident.
