Gardaí arrested a man and a juvenile male in Crumlin on Tuesday in connection with the murder of a 64-year old man who was fatally shot on his doorstep in Dublin last month.
Edward Nugent, a former truck driver, was shot when he answered the front door of his home on Harty Avenue, Walkinstown just before 9.30pm on Sunday, February 15th.
A man in his late 20s and a younger male were arrested at about 6.30am in the Crumlin area during a planned search involving gardaí from Crumlin, Sundrive and the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
They are being detained in Crumlin and Sundrive Road Garda Stations under Section 50 Criminal Justice Act 2007.
