Three TDs attended a bail application yesterday by a Dublin man who has been in custody since last May after his arrest on IRA and explosives charges.

Deputies Mick Wallace, Clare Daly and Maureen O’Sullivan were present in court to hear that Donal O’Coisdealbha’s bail application would be listed for December 17th.

Mr O’Coisdealbha (23), of Abbeyfield, Killester, Dublin 15, is charged with membership of an unlawful organisation styling itself the Irish Republican Army, otherwise Oglaigh na hÉireann, within the State on May 13th 2015.

Mr O’Coisdealbha is also charged with possession of a component part of an improvised explosive device.

The Special Criminal Court was told yesterday Mr O’Coisdealbha intended to make a renewed bail application, having been refused bail last May.

Ms O’Sullivan said the TDs had attended the hearing in because Mr O’Coisdealbha was only prisoner on his block in Portlaoise prison to have been denied bail.
