Taoiseach Brain Cowen will today travel to Helsinki for talks ahead of next month’s European Summit.
Mr Cowen will meet with Prime Minister Vanhanen to discuss the Lisbon Treaty and a number of other key EU issues, including climate change and the international credit crunch.
He will also meet the Finnish President Tarja Halonen.
On Friday morning the Taoiseach will be in the Swedish capital Stockholm for talks with Prime Minister Reinfeldt.
