Forty-three landowners who were party to legal proceedings in which the ESB won an order allowing it to build overhead pylons will not have to pay the company's legal costs. However, Cork County Council, which first gave permission for the project and then withdrew it, will have to pay two days' costs of the six-day action, the High Court has ruled. The ESB will have to pay its own costs for the other four days.
