In articles published on February 7th under the heading "Ban stays on media coverage of Cork drug case" and on February 8th under the heading "Media allowed review of drugs case reporting", it was reported incorrectly that one of the accused in a prosecution involving the seizure of cocaine worth £47 million in Cork harbour last September, Mr Gordon Richards, pleaded guilty to charges of possessing drugs with intent to supply and with unlawfully importing drugs. The Irish Times has now been informed by the Cork County Registrar and Mr Frank Joyce, solicitor of Cuddigan Joyce & Co, Solicitors, for Mr Gordon Richards, that the said Mr Gordon Richards pleaded guilty to one count only, that of possession with intent to supply. The Irish Times accepts that the accused did not plead guilty to a charge of unlawful importation of prohibited drugs.
