There's no stopping those Leesiders once they get going! In the Viperoom on Aston Quay, Dublin's newest late-night venue, they're everywhere - after all, it's the launch of the Murphy's 44th Cork Film Festival.
Among the throng is actor Bill Murphy. Gina Moxley is there too, talking about a play, The Mistress of Silence, which she's performing at DIT Rathmines. She's the mistress in this one-hander - "I'm the lead and the follierupper," she says.
Actor Frank Bourke is there too. He'll be on view in the feature film, Dream's End - check it out on Wednesday, October 13th, in Cork's Triskel. Eileen Walsh, who stars in Janice Beard: 45 wpm, drops in too. She plays a secretary who is a compulsive liar, she explains. "It's a great role. The character's mother is agoraphobic". Later the Cork gang retires to the Front Lounge, where they were looked after by their own Cliona Kearney.
Also at the launch are actors Rachael Dowling, Alan Smyth and Peter Vollebreght; DJ Tonie Walsh, filmmaker Ronan O'Leary, artist and filmmaker Clare Langan and actor Mick Rossi from Hollywood - California, not Co Down.
The festival runs for a week from Sunday, October 10th.
