The Swansea-Cork ferry City of Cork was unable to resume its service last night following the failure of its crew to pass a test by the British Maritime and Coastguard Agency. The agency was satisfied with the vessel but the engine crew drills did not meet requirements.

Weekend sailings have now been cancelled and intensive crew training will be provided.
