London - The Foreign Secretary, Mr Robin Cook, denied yesterday that a report published on a US Internet site showed Britain played any role in a plot to assassinate the Libyan leader, Col Muammar Gadafy. But in Tripoli, the British ambassador was summoned to the Libyan foreign ministry to explain the report, according to a Libyan news agency.
