CONDITIONS: strict guidelines attached to planning permission

Planning permission for the redevelopment of Greystones harbour is subject to 13 conditions.

The following is an edited version of the conditions:

1. The development shall be carried out in accordance with the amendments submitted by the council in October 2006.

2. A traffic calming scheme must be in place extending 200 metres from the site and points of access to the site from local roads must be redesigned.

3. Beach nourishment material must be shipped to the harbour, rather than transported by road.

4. All excavations under and over water shall be monitored by suitably qualified archaeologists.

5. The creation of cement batching and casting plants shall be monitored by a suitably qualified archaeologist.

6. The hours of operation, associated noise levels and access shall be constrained. Demolition and construction shall not take place on Sundays and holidays.

7. Detailed codes of practice in relation to dust suppression shall be drawn up by suitably qualified personnel.

8. The unstable Gap Bridge shall be removed from the site.

9. Details of water supply and drainage arrangements, including the disposal of surface water, shall comply in full with the requirements of the planning authority in the provision of such services.

10. Inner-harbour walls and walls on the inner side of the northern and southern breakwaters shall not be more than 0.5 metres in height.

11. Public access to the Cliff Walk shall be maintained.

12. The local authority shall establish a locally based liaison committee, which shall act as a forum for dissemination of information on planning and construction work.

13. Sea kale on the site shall be relocated to a position to be agreed.
