Resort Condominiums International, the UK-based timeshare operation which is about to establish 800 jobs in Cork, may have plans to more than double that number, writes Dick Hogan.

The Taoiseach, Mr Ahern, will perform a sod-turning ceremony today at RCI's newly acquired property in the Mahon Industrial Estate. The company, which is to spend millions of pounds on a call centre facility on a 100,000 sq ft square foot site, has been given planning permission for double that space. Sources close to RCI have confirmed that as many as 2,000 jobs could be created within two years.
