Ankara - The husband of former Turkish prime minister Ms Tansu Ciller appeared in court on fraud charges yesterday and denied falsifying documents given to a parliamentary investigation.

Mr Ozer Ciller, a wealthy businessman, faces up to 8 1/2 years in jail for allegedly supplying a misleading document about a US-based subsidiary of a company owned by the Cillers to a parliamentary commission.
