Charge over soldier's death

A man was charged last night in connection with the death of a British soldier in Northern Ireland. Corporal Gary Fenton (29) died on checkpoint duty when he was hit by a fuel tanker near the South Armagh village of Crossmaglen in June. A 36-year-old man will appear before Banbridge magistrates tomorrow morning charged with causing death by dangerous driving, an RUC spokesman said.
