LONDON - Ministers must provide extra funding for voluntary groups faced with a "humanitarian crisis" from the government's policy on asylum seekers, Cardinal Hume said yesterday.
The Catholic Archbishop of Westminster said the government, which has cut social security benefits to most people seeking asylum, had a "moral responsibility" to act.
