Skopje - A homemade bomb exploded in a car in Macedonia's capital yesterday, killing the woman driver and injuring several passers-by in Skopje.

Tensions remain high in Macedonia, as a Western-backed peace plan between ethnic Albanian rebels and the Macedonian government is yet to be fully implemented. Nationalists in the Macedonian parliament have been holding up a vote on a new constitution, designed to boost rights for the Albanian minority.
