The captain of a Scottish registered vessel, John William Stewart, Hillview Brough, Walsy, Shetland, Scotland, was fined a total of £30,000 when he pleaded guilty to two logbook offences and admitted not having the proper calibration plans of his boat in May 4th when he appeared at Letterkenny Circuit Court yesterday.

His vessel, the Antartic, was detained by the Naval Service north-east of Malin.
