Cannabis worth €1.2m seized in Swords

Drugs with a potential street value of €1.2 million have been seized during a raid on a warehouse in Swords, Co Dublin.

Drugs with a potential street value of €1.2 million have been seized during a raid on a warehouse in Swords, Co Dublin.

A Garda spokesman said over 160 kilos of cannabis were recovered during a planned search of the premises yesterday afternoon

by the Garda National Drugs Unit, who were assisted by the DMR North Task Force and members of the Blanchardstown Drugs Unit.

A 38-year-old Dublin man was arrested in the warehouse during the search and was taken to Blanchardstown Garda Station. He is being held under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
