The National Association for the Mentally Handicapped of Ireland has questioned the Government's commitment to dealing with waiting lists for day and residential services. The association said in a statement yesterday there was growing anger at the Government's failure to meet the needs of people with mental handicap in the community. It also criticised the failure of the Minister for Health Mr Noonan, to publish the five year plan on the needs of people with mental handicap.
