LONDON - Unless they are claimed by parents in the next three weeks, an estimated 2,500 frozen embryos must be destroyed under a five year rule that comes into force at the end of July.

Prof Jack Scarisbrick, chairman of Life, said. "They should receive a reverent burial, land be placed in marked ground and treated with respect."
