The North's Regional Development Minister, Mr Peter Robinson, yesterday announced plans for the long-awaited Toome by-pass. A £13 million dual carriageway will be constructed around the northern periphery of the Co Antrim village, with a single-span bridge over the River Bann 550 metres downstream from the existing bridge.
