The amalgamation of the four butchers' organisations in the Republic into a new organisation, which will be called the Associated Craft Butchers of Ireland, was announced yesterday.
The organisation was formally inaugurated yesterday in the Irish Food Board headquarters in Dublin by the Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture and Food, Mr Ned O'Keeffe.
