Finland's 2000 world champion Marcus Gronholm won the rally of Britain for the first time in a Peugeot, two minutes and 27.1 seconds ahead of compatriot and team mate Harri Rovanpera.

Peugeot retained the manufacturers' title.

Burns, overall runner-up for the past two seasons, was the first English driver and only the second Briton to take the rally world championship.
