Moscow - A construction company in Russia's northern Yakutsk region regularly held its employees in cages as a punishment for poor performance, a Russian news agency reported.

The ITAR-Tass news agency said several dozen people had endured the punishment, but only three agreed to testify against the company's managers. The manager has been previously convicted of murder and other crimes, it added.
