Police in Britain have found the body of missing teenager Alicia Eborne at an isolated spot near the village of Buckland Monachorum on Dartmoor in Devon, a spokeswoman said this afternoon.

A 39-year-old bus driver has been arrested on suspicion of abducting and murdering the student, police said.

The man, from Plymouth, was arrested on Thursday night on suspicion of abducting Alicia, from Corntown, Devon.

Police said today he was also being questioned about her death.

Under police rules he can be held in custody until 7.30pm tonight when he must either be charged or released.
