Gardaí in Cork are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in a shop doorway in the city centre earlier today.
The woman's remains were discovered on Patrick's Street shortly after 4am.
Her body was taken to Mercy Hospital where a postmortem will take place later today.
A Garda spokeswoman said the scene had been preserved for a technical examination.
