Gardai have confirmed that a body found at a rural location near Ballinspittle, Co

Gardai have confirmed that a body found at a rural location near Ballinspittle, Co .Cork has been identified as that of 60 year old Anne Corcoran.

A post mortem was carried out on the remains at Cork University Hospital late last night by Assistant State Pathologist Dr. Margaret Bolster.

The results will not be released for operational reasons.

It is understood that Garda technical experts found the remains in a shallow grave at a remote forestry plantation at Kilmore two miles inland from Garrettstown beach yesterday afternoon.

Garda search teams had gone to the area early yesterday morning and began searching the plantation.
